SBIMF is organising a Classical Music Concert this Friday at Y.B. Chavan Auditorium at 6.30 p.m. The first part of the concert will have a flute recital by Pt Rupak Kulkarni, a disciple of Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia. He will be accompanied by Pt Yogesh Samsi, a disciple of Ustad Allah Rakha and Ustad Zakir Hussain on Tabla. The second half will have a vocal performance by Ustad Abdul Rashid Khan, who at 103 years is the senior most performing artist of Hindustani Classical Music. He will be supported by his disciple Subhomoy Bhattacharya and will be accompanied by Ustad Nasir Khan from Lucknow on Sarangi, Ustad Hafiz Ahmed Khan on Harmonium, Shri Urooj Khan Warsi on Tanpura and Shri Bilal Khan on Tabla.
GREAT LEGENDS: Sanskruti Kaladarpan appreciated great legends of drama and films, with Jesta Rangkarmi Sanman at Renaissance Powai. Music director Ashok Patki was honoured by Sudhir Dalvi.
